Fully Private — Your Own Little World
The biggest highlight of Glam Tamdao is the complete privacy thanks to fully fenced individual plots. No worrying about the neighbors — the kids could run around freely and we could be as loud as we wanted. The A-frame tent design gave the whole site a surprisingly exotic, almost European feel.
Cozy Interior Space
The inside of the A-frame tent was cozier than expected — bean bag sofas, a retro mini-fridge, a separate sleeping area, and a clean bathroom. After the kids fell asleep, the adults could still enjoy the living space without any issues.
Jacuzzi & Pool — The Kids' Favorite Part
The jacuzzi was much bigger than expected — the kids absolutely loved it and spent a long time splashing around. For families with young toddlers, we'd recommend focusing on the jacuzzi rather than the pool.
The swimming pool has a long, narrow layout that looks gorgeous but is a bit tricky to use with very young children. It's better suited for elementary school-age kids who can actually swim. Note that the pool is fairly deep, so always supervise young children closely.
Food — Seafood Feast & Morning Meal
We prepared a full seafood spread for dinner — salmon sashimi, flounder, shrimp, mussels, and abalone. The separate dining tent kept the eating area distinct from the rest of the site, which was really convenient. The kids ended up having a big bowl of instant ramen late at night and absolutely loved it (glamping ramen just hits different).
BBQ & Bonfire Night — Adults' Relaxation Time
After dark, we grilled scallops on the outdoor BBQ — the sizzling sounds and aroma were amazing. Paired with a cold beer, it was the perfect glamping night treat. Then we lit up the bonfire pit and sat around it as a family. This was genuinely one of the most memorable moments of the trip.
Hinoki Ball Pit — Bonus Fun for Kids
There's a small hinoki (Japanese cypress) ball pit room operated near the main glamping area. It's compact, but the kids were completely absorbed in playing with the toy excavators provided. Great for burning off last-minute energy before checkout.

FAQ
Q. Where is Glam Tamdao located?
A. It's in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, about 1–1.5 hours from Seoul by car. Search '글램탐다오' on your navigation app.
Q. Which facilities did the kids love most?
A. The jacuzzi was the clear winner! It's spacious and warm, and the kids spent ages in it. The hinoki ball pit was also a big hit — especially for boys who love construction toys.
Q. Can toddlers use the swimming pool?
A. The pool is long, narrow, and fairly deep — better for elementary-age children who can swim. For toddlers, stick to the jacuzzi and always have an adult right alongside them in the water.
Q. Do we need to bring our own food and BBQ supplies?
A. Yes, bring your own ingredients. An individual BBQ grill and dining tent are provided. We recommend shopping at Gapyeong town center before arriving at the site.
Q. What did you do on Day 2 after checkout?
A. After checking out we headed to Gapyeong Sheep Farm (Cloud Hill) — feeding sheep and alpacas, riding the all-season sled, and enjoying the mountain-view bakery cafe. Check out Part 2 of our Gapyeong travel series!
