Pirates Room — Like Stepping Onto a Pirate Ship
The Pirates Room feels different the moment you open the door. A skull-and-crossbones painted door, a treasure-map patterned carpet, and a giant LEGO-brick octopus mural on the wall. Our kids' eyes lit up the second they walked in.
Even the hallway is themed — torch-style lights and a floor painted with treasure maps, keys, and gold coins made the walk to our room feel like part of the adventure. If the Kingdom Room felt like a calm medieval castle, the Pirates Room was far more adventurous and energetic — both kids loved it.
Check-in Gift — A LEGO Polybag Surprise
After checking in, we found LEGO gifts waiting on the bed for each kid — a Ninjago polybag for our son and a LEGO Friends polybag for our daughter. Both lit up the moment they saw the boxes. It's a different surprise than the Kingdom Room's padlock quiz, but getting a gift the moment you walk in made just as strong an impression.
BRICKS Family Restaurant Breakfast Buffet
On our second morning we had breakfast buffet-style at BRICKS Family Restaurant — toast, boiled eggs, bacon, and a good variety of jams, so the kids could pick what they liked.
Our window table looked straight out at the Brick Street entrance. Unlike the rain the evening before, the morning was clear and sunny, which got the kids even more excited to head into the park.
Rainy Afternoon? Head Indoors
It rained the afternoon we checked in, so we spent time at the Adventure Play zone near the lobby — a ball pit and a pirate-ship play structure were more than enough to make up for not getting into the park right away.
In the evening we also used the indoor activity room set up for rainy days — nice to know there's always something for the kids to do even when it's pouring outside.
Looking out at the 'See You Next Time' gate through the rain-streaked window, we really hoped for clear skies the next day.
