Snorkeling with a 5-Year-Old
We headed straight to Gun Beach after the dolphin tour, still in our rashguards. My daughter needed time to explore the sand before wading in, but she warmed up quickly.
While dad snorkeled, grandma and mom played with the kids in the shallows. Even a timid 5-year-old had a great time without going into deeper water.
Snorkeling Tips at Gun Beach
Gun Beach is ideal for beginner snorkelers — the water is calm and so clear you can see the bottom from the surface. The best spot for tropical fish is near the rocks along the shore.
Lovers' Leap (Two Lovers' Point)
After beach time, we showered, had lunch, and drove to Lovers' Leap. Admission is $3 per adult; children 6 and under are free.
