1 Night 2 Days Busan & Geoje Island Trip | POW Camp, Windmill Hill & Songdo Beach

1 Night 2 Days Busan & Geoje Island Trip | POW Camp, Windmill Hill & Songdo Beach

Busan + Geoje Island in one trip: history, coastal scenery, seafood, and a glass-floor skywalk at night — this 2-day route covers it all.

Busan & Geoje Island 2-Day Itinerary

My husband and I took this trip during a long weekend in May 2017. Combining Busan and Geoje Island is efficient — lots to see without a long drive.

  • Night 1 — Gwangan Bridge night drive → hotel

  • Day 2 morning — Geoje POW Camp Historic Park

  • Day 2 afternoon — Windmill Hill (Baramui Eokndeok)

  • Day 2 evening — Songdo Beach + clam BBQ

  • Night — Songdo Skywalk

Gwangan Bridge night drive Busan

Gwangan Bridge Night Drive

We arrived late in the evening and our first sight was Gwangan Bridge at night. The Haeundae I-Park Marina Tower and the deep blue sky looked almost too perfect — like CGI out of a movie.

Geoje POW Camp Historic Park

This is the actual site where prisoners of war were held during the Korean War, now preserved as a historic park. Life-size dioramas recreate the barracks and battle scenes — surprisingly detailed and educational. Great for learning about the Korean War firsthand.

Windmill Hill (Baramui Eokndeok)

One of Geoje Island's most iconic spots: a windmill on a green hillside overlooking the sea. The panoramic ocean view from the top is refreshing. Go early on weekends to beat the crowds.

Songdo Beach & Clam BBQ

We'd already been to Haeundae and Gwangalli, so we tried Songdo Beach this time. Near the beach, there's a row of seafood restaurants. We chose Hui Jamae — their clam BBQ tasted even better with the sea breeze.

Songdo Beach Busan

Songdo Skywalk at Night

A glass-floored bridge extending over the sea next to Songdo Beach. Walking on it at night feels surprisingly thrilling. The night view looking back at the city is beautiful, and it's free to enter.
